About Ninja Granny
I have been teaching and learning Tai chi and Qigong for over 35 years and Somatics for 10 years. What I love about Tai chi, Qigong and Somatics is that they are all connected They have the same underlying principles and are beneficial in complementary ways. They are all about restoring natural movement, which is movement that is co-ordinated through the centre of your body; and they are all mindful, bringing you into the experience of the moment, which brings relaxation, relief and a sense of well-being.
Tai Chi
I started with Yang style Tai chi, but changed to Chen style when I met my teachers, Karel and Eva Koskuba from the Chinese Internal Arts Association. They are disciples of the current Grandmaster of Chen style Tai chi, Master Chen Xiaowang. With Karel and Eva I study Bagua, Laojia form and Yiquan.

My other Tai chi teachers are Helen Kingdon and Tom Collingridge from Exeter School of Tai chi Chuan. They are disciples of Master Chen Ziqiang. With them I study Laojia form, Xinjia form and Pushing Hands.

Somatics
Somatics is a bit like doing Tai chi on the ground. It’s very complimentary to Tai chi and Qigong as the principles are the same. My teachers are Martha Peterson from Essential Somatics and Darren Gibbs from Active Somatics.
